  Travel and Transportation Policy #9

Travel Allowances for State Officers and Employees

Initial Requests for State Vehicles:

Distance Education instructors whose primary teaching assignment is on the main campus may request the use of an ASU Motor Pool vehicle to travel to and from the site at which their distance ed classes are scheduled. Qualified faculty who wish to reserve a car should do so by contacting their Dean's or Department Office (refer to your college/department procedures) to complete the appropriate papework. Please note that vehicles are assigned by Appalachian's Motor Pool on a first come, first served basis so faculty wishing to reserve a vehicle for travel to class should not delay making their requests.

Information About State Vehicle Pick up:

Faculty who request vehicles are responsible for picking the car up at and returning it to the Motor Pool (located on Shadowline Drive, after the intersection of Shadowline and State Farm Rd). Cars should be picked up in the afternoon and returned either in the evening after the trip is completed or early the following morning. Please refer to the ASU Policy Manual - Travel and Transportation for further policies and procedures.
